"These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God,
that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to
believe in the name of the Son of God." (1 John 5:13)
Are you Saved? If so, when did you become saved and what did you have to
do, if anything? Many people are confused over these questions because of the
many things that are being taught from the various pulpits of our day and time.
However, you don't have to be confused. Let God's word guide you. The Bible
clearly gives you the answer and you can know what to do to be saved and
have confidence that if you were to die this hour, heaven will be your home.

Elders and the Main Focus
By Douglas A. Edwards
When we look at the work of an elder, we fully understand that it is great. Paul said, “This is a
true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work” (1 Tim. 3:1). He
further states that those elders who rule should be counted worthy of double honor, especially
those who labour in word and doctrine (1 Tim. 5:17).
I believe, however, that many men who desire this office do not fully understand it’s duties in
the eyesight of God and thus, come into the office of a bishop unprepared. In Acts 20:28, we
find the apostle Paul letting the elders, of the church in Ephesus, know that the Holy Spirit had
made them overseers. Although this word “overseer” means superintended, I believe
sometimes the focus or too much of the focus in the wrong place. Read Article

Does God Exist Debate
Between Kyle Butt (Church of Christ) and Dan Barker (Athiest). This
debate took place at South Carolina University on February 12, 2009.

Many efforts are made to try to prove that Baptism is not essential to our salvation. Once
such effort was made by the Middletown Bible Church in an article entitled "Does Water
Baptism Save? A Biblical Refutation of Baptismal Regeneration." I don't normally go to
church websites to write in response to any articles they may have. However, when people
try to attack the "Churches of Christ" and tie the doctrine of baptism to us rather than the
Scriptures, it comes a time that the word of God must be defended.
The fact that Baptism is essential to salvation is not a "Church of Christ" teaching, it is the
"Bible's" teaching. Many people say this to try to prejudice others against the truth but it will
not work. I read the Middletown church's article thoroughly and have written a response to all
of their claims. With much love, paitence, and prayer, I hope the Bible's true message will
help someone seeking. READ MY RESPONSE NOW
