Our mission as a church, with the guidance of the Spirit of God, is to enlist, encourage, and
equip as many people as possible in becoming dedicated followers of Jesus. (Matthew 28:20)
What We Believe
The Word of God
The Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God. This same standard will judge all-human
conduct, creeds, and opinions. (John12:48)
God
There is one, and only one, true and living God. He is the infinite and all wise maker and
supreme ruler of heaven and earth. God is inexpressibly glorious in holiness, and worthy of all
possible honor. (1 Corinthians 8:4; Ephesians 4:6)
In the unity of the Godhead, there are three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices. (Matthew 28:19)
The Fall of Man
We believe that God created man in innocence, but by voluntary transgression fell from his
sinless and happy state. The purpose of God sending Jesus to this earth was to restore this
state and reconcile man back to God. (Romans 5:12-14; Ezekiel 18:20; 1 John 3:4)
Jesus Christ
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, incarnated and born of a virgin.
(John 3:16; Matthew 1:18-25)
Jesus honored God’s divine law by His personal obedience, and in His death on the cross, He
made provision for the redemption of men from sin. (Hebrew 5:8-9)
He was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of
God where He is the One Mediator between God and man. (Acts 5:30-31; 1 Timothy 2:5)
Salvation
Salvation is free to all. It is by grace through faith. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
This does not mean faith only. It means conforming our faith to what God has told us to do to
be saved (Hear, Believe, Repent, Confess, Baptized and Live Faithful- John 14:15).
Before we can be acceptable in the eyesight of God. Therefore, being deeply convinced of
guilt, danger, and helplessness, and of the way of salvation by Christ, we turn to God with guilt,
danger, and helplessness, and of the way of salvation by Christ, we turn to God with unfeigned
contrition, confession, and supplication for mercy. (Luke 13:3; Acts 17:30; 2 Corinthians 7:10)
Corinthians 7:10)
The Church
The true church of Christ is a congregation of baptized believers associated by a common faith
and fellowship of the Gospel, observing the commandments of Christ and governed by His
laws. Qualified elders oversee the church, qualified deacons serve the church, and sound
gospel preachers proclaim the message. There is one church mentioned in the Scriptures and
the Lord is coming back for that one. (Matthew 16:18; 1 Timothy 3:1-16; 2 Timothy 4:1-5)
Baptism
Baptism is immersion in water. (Matthew 28:19-20)
It is to show forth our faith in the crucified, buried and risen Savior, with its effect in our death
to sin and resurrection to a new life; it is a pre-requisite to Salvation. No person can be saved
without faith, repentance, confession, and baptism. (Romans 6:1-7)
The Lord's Supper
Matthew 26:26-29)
Matthew 26:26-29)
The Lord's Day
God has set aside the first day of the week as the day of worship. This should be the time that
all Christians look forward to and it should not be deliberately forsaken. (Acts 20:7; Hebrews
10:25)
Civil Government
The civil government is of divine appointment for the protection of the good and punishment of
the evil; magistrates are to be prayed for, morally supported, conscientiously honored and
obeyed, except only in things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are to obey God
rather than man. (Romans 13:1-4; 1 Timothy 2:1-3; Acts 5:39)
Marriage
Marriage is between a man and women. It is designed to be kept from the marriage altar to the
cemetery with only one reason for divorce—Fornication. (Matthew 19:3-12; Romans 7:1-4)
Resurrection
Jesus Christ was resurrected from both the physical grave and the hadean world. We to have
a resurrection. (Acts 2:31;John 5:28-29; 1 Corinthians 15)
